The Tiger Rag

Frannie's return to the US from Camp Home Run in Le Havre, France was in Feb 1946. Below  is the souvenir edition of the Sea Tiger's 10 page newspaper, The Tiger Rag, New York Voyage Feb 5-Feb 16, 1946.

Excerpt from Tiger Rag: Up to this writing the Sea Tiger, except for minor engine mishaps, has been and still is going very strong. She has crossed the ocean 28 times and has entered the Mediterranean on four occasions.

The Tiger boasts of having been one of the first ships in convoy to arrive directly from the States at Cherbourg, Marseille and Le Havre. Her passengers have consisted of every type and class imaginable. Some of them are: American Troops to and from the ETO, American patients from the ETO, American former POWs from ETO, German and Italian POWs, male and female USO troupes, Army Nurses, French and American civilians, etc.
